2017 Chengdu Global Innovation and Entrepreneurship Fair (GIEF) will be started on May 10 and global elites will participate into GIEF included 4 Nobel Prize winners, 14 Fellows and representatives from 58 famous high schools in the world. During GIEF, International Technology Transfer Network (ITTN) will organize 3 special events namely as US China Innovation and Investment Summit 2017 (Chengdu), China-Italy Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition (CIIEC) Semifinals – Chengdu Stop, China-UK Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition & China-UK Technology and Innovation Cooperation Seminar between May 10 – 13. The VIP guests confirmed to participate to the events included David Robinson, Vice Mayor of The City of Houston, United States; Yao Weike, President of China Association for International Science and Technology Cooperation (CAISTC); Yan Xiaohong, Director of China Science and Technology Exchange Center (CSTEC); and the leaders of Chengdu Municipal People’s Government, such as Liu Hongbao, Vice Mayor of Chengdu Municipal People’s Government, Xie Ruiwu, Municipal Committee of Chengdu Municipal People’s Government.

US China Innovation and Investment Summit –Chengdu Stop
On May 2016, the First US China Innovation and Investment Summit (UCIS) was successfully held in Houston, United States and it was co-organized by China Science and Technology Exchange Center (CSTEC), International Technology Transfer Network (ITTN) and US China Innovation Alliance (UCIA). UCIS had received the support from 48 entities from China and United States and attracted more than 150 Chinese investors to participate UCIS, Houston and carried on the matchmaking with more than 200 US technology companies. The First UCIS carried out 60 project roadshow, exhibition of 25 key scientific and technological achievements and 43 cooperation achievements. Conclusively, it had facilitated the Chinese investor to have an in-depth understanding of the advanced technologies and products from United States and developed the potential corporation opportunities between China and United States.
The US China Innovation and Investment Summit 2017 (hereinafter referred to as “the Summit “) will be held on May 16 -17 in Houston, Texas, the United States. It may have 200 representatives from 150 Chinese entities to be invited to participate to the Summit and matchmaking with 150 US technology companies. At the same time, InnoSTARS Competition will be carried out with the Summit.
The event at Chengdu Stop is the major part of US China Innovation and Investment Summit which can facilitate the matchmaking of the innovative resources between China and United States and introduce the excellent resources from United States to Chengdu for establishing the innovation & matchmaking platform between Chengdu and United States.
The event will be held for 2 days. Other than the leaders from departments of The City of Houston, United States, there are representatives from more than 30 US entities to participate into the event.

China-Italy Innovation and EntrepreneurshipCompetition (CIIEC) Semifinals – Chengdu Stop
On October 2016, the First China-Italy Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition (CIIEC) had been initiated at Naples, Italy. Wan Gang, Minister of Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China (MOST) and Stefania Giannini, Minister of Education, Universities and Research, participated the opening ceremony of the competition. The idea of CIIEC was initiated during the opening ceremony of the 5th China Italy Innovation Cooperation Week. This serves for the purpose to facilitate the exchange of ideas between youth from China and Italy and cooperate within technology, education sectors. On April 2016, Stefania Giannini, Minister of Education, Universities and Research, visited China and had a meeting with Wan Gang, Minister of Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China (MOST). They had confirmed to hold the China-Italy Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition (CIIEC) in order to further strengthen the cooperation between China and Italy onto the technology and innovation.
This competition had been carried out in several cities between China and Italy divided into preliminaries, semifinals and finals. After going through the preliminary at Politecnico di Milano and the second round of preliminary at China and Italy, there were 66 excellent projects to be selected to enter the semifinal. On April 2017, China-Italy Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition (CIIEC) semifinal – Shenzhen Stop had been successfully held and there were 6 projects being selected out of 16 projects. In the Chengdu Stop, there will have 30 excellent projects to participate into the competition.

China-UK Innovation and EntrepreneurshipCompetition & China-UK Technology and Innovation Cooperation Seminar
Currently, International Technology Transfer Network (ITTN) is actively cooperating with Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China (MOST) in order to organize the China UK STI Fest at the end of year 2017. China-UK relation is in a “Golden Era” following the publishing of “UK-China Joint Statement on Building a Global Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for the 21st Century”, signed by President Xi Jinping in October, 2015. For promoting youth exchange and innovation collaboration, China UK STI Fest will be held during the 5th Meeting of China-UK High-Level People-to-People Dialogue in the end of 2017 by Ministry of Science and Technology of China (MOST) and Department for Business, Energy& Industrial Strategy of UK (BEIS).
The China-UK Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition & China-UK Technology and Innovation Cooperation Seminar are the major parts of China UK STI Fest. There will have 13 innovative projects from United Kingdom to participate into the roadshow. It will have more than 20 International Innovation Presenters to participate the event, such as Nicolai Peitersen, Co-founder & Chairman of Wikifactory; Jason Hilgefort, Director of Future+Aformal Academy in Shenzhen; Scott Haughton, Co-Founder, Director, COO of Envestors; Ben Metcalf, General Manager (South West China) of The British Chamber of Commerce; Daisy Velven Peak, Co-founder of LAOWAI HERE; etc. They will have an in-depth discussion about the China-UK Technology and Innovation Cooperation.
